CNC Programmer Job Description
The selected CNC programmer will interface with manufacturing, production, quality control, and customer service to ensure smooth flow of the engineering information. Additionally, the selected applicant will be responsible for programming and maintaining CNC programming for milling and turning operations.
CNC Programmer Job Responsibilities:

  • Recommend modifications to manufacturing processes
  • Assist with developing solutions to manufacturing process problems and/or new customer requirements
  • Develop material/cost analysis comparison between alternative solutions
  • Improved quality and/or manufacturing cycle times through ECN’s, sketch changes, and/or program changes
  • Material/cost analysis comparison between alternative solutions created as required
  • Workable manufacturing processes created in a timely manner
  • Contact customer representatives as required concerning blueprint discrepancies and/or technical issues that affect engineering and or part manufacturing
  • Drafting of manufacturing sketches
  • Create CAD sketches for manufacturing operations based on rough sketches provided
  • Create CNC programs for manufacturing operations based on rough sketches provided by
  • Programs completed in a timely manner with no errors released to manufacturing
  • Design and drafting of fixtures and gauges
  • Review and interpret manufacturing blueprints and/or actual parts in order to design fixtures, gauges, and tooling to hold, fabricate, and/or inspect designated parts
  • Work with toolmakers as required on fine-tuning fixture and gage designs for ease-of-use and functionality

CNC Programmer Job Requirement:

  •  Four years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 4 year Bachelor of Science Degree (minimum) in a technical discipline preferred
