Production Support Engineer Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with quality, engineering, and manufacturing regarding the non-conforming materials, process, seeking resolution to issues that meet both the Company and customer’s expectations.
  • Partner with Sales team to develop engineered-to-order products, including writing programs and creating paperwork/processes for production.
  • Prior CNC background Preferred.
  • Work with Production on custom projects to ensure quality products reach customers.
  • Investigate data and processes to establish root causes of equipment failure or malfunction. Develop solutions to resolve issues hindering productivity and confer with management for resolution.
  • Participate and assist in all stages of product development, including existing product improvement/enhancement and new product development.
  • Fabricate prototype products for design engineering to ensure producibility.
  • Interact and support internal and external customers regarding equipment or product performance. Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
  • Identify, research, and diagnose production implementation problems such as defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in system functions, outputs, and content.
  • Approach projects and stakeholders empathetically to understand needs and find collaborative solutions.
  • Provide hands-on installation and support for deployed solutions. Act as a technical escalation point for Project Managers and other IT resources during solution deployments.
  • Work independently and in a team environment, managing a range of situations involving business stakeholders, vendor partners, and technical resources.
  • Participate in the new Product Development ideology.
  • Prepare and retain documentation of changes, adjustments, or redesign of equipment and product processes.
  • Minimum, bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in a similar engineering role.
  • Proficiency in reading and comprehending machine and assembly drawings.
  • Design skills, project management, manufacturing methods and procedures
  • Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, SOLIDWORKS, CAD-CAM software)
