Senior Process Engineer Job Description:
Senior Process Engineer is responsible for overseeing and enhancing manufacturing processes for complex commercial, Defense, and Aerospace devices. This position involves conducting projects, guaranteeing employee safety, and optimizing production efficiency. The engineer will collaborate with diverse teams, including Project Engineers and suppliers, to develop and sustain cost-effective manufacturing techniques that exceed customer expectations.
Senior Process Engineer Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of innovative technologies and processes in a turnkey project environment.
  • Conduct Ergonomic and Job Hazard Assessments to mitigate employee injury risks.
  • Create manufacturing instructions, routers, and bills of material.
  • Collaborate with design teams, suppliers, and subject matter experts during product design to optimize manufacturing methods.
  • Participate in design reviews, perform cost trade studies, and lead Design for Manufacturability efforts.
  • Develop transition to production plans, participate in supplier evaluation, and provide technical expertise for manufacturing capabilities.
  • Conduct training for production operators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot production processes, perform root cause analysis, and lead corrective action teams.
  • Interface with upper management, customers, and suppliers to present technical aspects of manufacturing processes.
  • Contribute to new business proposals, perform make/buy analysis, and assume leadership roles in multi-functional environments.

Senior Process Engineer Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel for graphing.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, process mapping, and Lean Six Sigma techniques.
  • Understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, and manufacturing process development.
  • Effective communication, time management, and critical thinking skills.
  • Eligibility for U.S. Government Security Clearance.
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturability Analysis is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and Capital Expenditure procedures.
  • Strong diligence, integrity, and ability to adapt to change.
