Systems Integration Engineer / Project Engineer Job Description

A Systems Integration Engineer job in Florence KY is available through TriMech Services.  In this role the systems integration engineer will be responsible for the overall engineering designs, system requirements and analyses that ensure products meet all requirements. 
Summary of Job Description:

The Systems Integration Engineer owns the overall engineering designs, system requirements and analyses that ensure products meet all requirements. The Systems Engineer is responsible for a specific technical program and completion of assigned tasks on time and within budget. This includes technically leading a team of engineers and designers toward the successful program completion. The Systems Integration Engineer will design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems. He or she will also use CAD/CAE engineering or other design/analysis software as appropriate in the performance of assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Must have experience supporting assigned programs as the Technical Leader of the integrated Project Team.
  • Must have experience capturing customer technical requirement into systems compliance matrix  
  • Provide engineering team members with technical guidance
  • Coordinates estimates for entire engineering team with input from functional members
  • Monitors technical risk, and makes adjustments to mitigate risk when appropriate
  • Experience with SolidWorks, FEA and MS Project,  & Excel Data processing
  • Must have strong verbal and written communications skills, organization and trouble shooting skills

Required Experience:

  • 6-8 years of project or systems engineering background in a product development environment.
  • 2-3 years’ experience with MS Project or other scheduling software
  • 4-5 years’ experience managing engineering and design resources in the design and development of systems or subsystems.
  • 4-5 years of experience in the integration of vehicle-based systems (Heavy Trucks, Industrial Machinery or other vehicle systems
  • 3-5 years of experience with CAD & CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, TeamCenter)
